Obama's claims of unprecedented transparency in his administration are apparently just that...claims. The Ones press secretary gets just a little bit put off when the issue is brought up. Considering the string of screw ups in cabinet nominee vetting and the waivers issued to the lobbyists that Obama had to have in his administration right after saying there would be no lobbyists in his administration. It seemed a fair question to me.

Kudos to Jake Tapper from ABC. The video is great. I've got the transcript right below it so you won't miss how transparency is obviously important to The One but we're still not going to uhhhh talk about it

[media:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-4qEz1vea0&eurl=http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2009/02/gibbs_gets_testy_with_reporter.html]

Transcript from here:

TAPPER: Robert, two questions. One's a housekeeping one. In the name of the transparency that you and the president herald so much, is there any way we could get the copies of the waivers that the OMB issues to allow certain cabinet posts or deputy posts...

GIBBS: I'll check.

TAPPER: ... free of the ethics constraints that you put up? And, also, the disclosure forms that your nominees put out that go to the Office of Government Ethics, that somehow they're not able to e- mail or, you know, put on the Web, is there any way we can get copies of those?

GIBBS: Yes, I will check. I don't -- I don't know how those forms are distributed.

TAPPER: Just based on listening to the president's rhetoric, I'm sure it's something he'd want to do.

GIBBS: Well...

TAPPER: The other question is...

GIBBS: Knowing of your crystal clarity on his opinion, I'll certainly check.

TAPPER: He doesn't believe in transparency?

GIBBS: Did you have another more pertinent question?

TAPPER: I think that's pretty -- I think it's fairly pertinent, your cabinet nominees and whether or not they pay their taxes and whether or not they have speaking fees with all sorts of industries they're suppose to regulate. I think that's fairly pertinent. You don't?

GIBBS: Obviously I do. And obviously the -- the president does.

TAPPER: A majority of the American people apparently support blocking or making major changes to the stimulus bill, according to a Gallup poll. Are you worried at all that you've lost control of the process on how these bills are received?

GIBBS: No, I'm not.

Change? Not so much.

It only takes The One 39 seconds into this video to lie to the American public. He continues repeating that this is the worst economic crisis since the great depression of 1929. He is either ignorant of the history of the country he is trying to lead or he is a big a@# liar. I'm going with the latter. 1982 is a lot more recent than the great depression. The recession of 1982 had double digit inflation, double digit interest rates and double digit unemployment.

Obama continues to use George W Bush as a scapegoat around 1:30 seconds into his weekly doom and gloom fest by claiming that the mess we are in now is a result of the policies of the last eight years. What a crock. This mess has been in the making since Jimmy Carter passed the Community Reinvestment Act in the 1970s which forced lending institutions to make loans to low income families, (people who couldn't repay them). The place we are at now was actually seen by Bush but the democrats obstructed any kind of regulation. You don't hear that from the Obamessiah do you? If you can stand it here is The Ones weekly whine fest for 2/9/2009.

[media:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqAcRb2nf0U&eurl=http://hotair.com/archives/2009/02/07/nyt-obama-thanked-collins-snowe-specter-for-their-patriotism/]

Obama likes to create the number of jobs this farce creates out of thin air. It's not like the main stream media would ever ask him to justify the numbers now is it? Thank goodness on 1/23/09 the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation testified that he couldn't predict the number of jobs created in the private or public sector. This video casts major doubt on The One's pretty specific numbers doesn't it? Check it out.

[media:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EMvZV80rtg]

Good stuff. Call your senator or somebody else's for that matter at (202) 224-3121 and tell them they had better vote no on this piece of crap "stimulus bill".

The One's stimulus plan is anything but. Make a list of everything that liberals have lusted after for as long as there have been liberals, put them all in one place, decide that money is no object and you get this massive stool sample the Obama administration likes to call a "stimulus plan. It reads like a laundry list of things that would have never made it into the regular budget under normal conditions, much less in the current economic climate.

President Obama is using fear tactics and "chicken little" like hysteria to rush this thing through the House and Senate. The real reason for this rush to stimulus isn't a looming financial collapse though. The real reason is that every day that goes by more and more people are finding out what's in this piece of crap bill and don't want to swallow what's being forced down their throats.

This stimulus plan provides stimulus like the Fairness Doctrine will provide fairness. Here's just a little taste of what's in it according to the House republicans:

$726 million for after-school snack programs

$44 million for repairs to the Agriculture Department

$1 billion for the 2010 Census

$650 million for digital TV coupons

$1 billion for climate satellite and habitat restoration programs

$400 million for state and local governments to acquire new vehicles

$600 million to replace a portion of the federal government vehicle fleet

$462 million to replace Centers for Disease Control facilities

$7.7 billion for construction and repairs of federal buildings

$2.1 billion for Head Start and Early Head Start programs

$13 billion for special education state grants

$15.6 billion for Pell grants

$50 million in funding for the National Endowment of the Arts

You make the call. Not much stimulus in that $43,332,000,000 now is there?

Get involved, call your congressman and senator and tell them to stop it now.

FreedomTalks put up a great post on 1-26-09 about the Stimulus/Pork plan that passed the House. You really need to see this stuff. It is absolutely amazing that this stuff could ever be passed off as a stimulus to anything except big bloated government. Check these 20 things out that they got from the Republican House Leadership web site. The facts are out there gang if you just go looking for them.

1. The $825 billion package slated for a House vote later this week will exceed more than $1.1 trillion when adding in the interest ($300 plus billion) between 2009-2019 to pay for it.

2. The Capitol Hill Democrats’ plan includes funding for contraceptives; regardless of where anyone stands on taxpayer funded contraception, there is no question that it has NOTHING to do with the economy.

3. The legislation could open billions of taxpayer dollars to left-wing groups like the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), which has been accused of voter fraud, is reportedly under federal investigation; and played a key role in the housing meltdown.

4. Here are just a few of the programs and projects that have been included in the House Democrats’ proposal:

· $650 million for digital TV coupons.

· $600 million for new cars for the federal government.

· $6 billion for colleges/universities – many which have billion dollar endowments.

· $50 million in funding for the National Endowment of the Arts.

· $44 million for repairs to U.S. Department of Agriculture headquarters.

· $200 million for the National Mall, including $21 million for sod.

5. The plan establishes at least 32 new government programs at a cost of over $136 billion. That means more than a third of this plan’s spending provisions are dedicated to creating new government programs.

6. The plan provides spending in at least 150 different federal programs, ranging from Amtrak to the Transportation Security Administration. Is this the “targeted” plan Democratic leaders promised?

7. Even though the legislation contains at least 152 separate spending proposals, the authors of the plan can only say that 34 have any chance at keeping or growing jobs.

8. Just one in seven dollars of an $18.5 billion expenditure on “energy efficiency” and “renewable energy programs” would be spent within the next 18 months.

9. The total cost of this one piece of legislation is almost as much as the annual discretionary budget for the entire federal government.

10. The House Democrats’ bill will cost each and every household $6,700 in additional debt, paid for by our children and grandchildren.

11. The bill provides enough spending – $825 billion – to give every man, woman, and child in America $2,700. $825 billion is enough to give every person in Ohio $72,000.

13. Although the House Democrats’ proposal has been billed as a transportation and infrastructure investment package, in actuality only $30 billion of the bill – or three percent – is for road and highway spending. A recent study from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office found that only 25 percent of infrastructure dollars can be spent in the first year, making the one year total less than $7 billion.

14. Much of the funding within the House Democrats’ proposal will go to programs that already have large, unexpended balances. For example, the bill provides $1 billion for Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) – a program that already has $16 billion on hand. States also are sitting on some $9 billion in unused highway funds – funds that Congress is prepared to rescind later this year.

15. All board members of the “Accountability and Transparency Board” created by this legislation are appointees of the President; none will be appointed by Congress.

16. A scant 2.7 percent, or $22.3 billion of the overall package, is dedicated to small business tax relief.

Week one for The Obamessiah was a weak one. He is definitely not off to a "centrist" kind of a start. The talking heads who believed that Pelosi and Reid would push him more to the center were dead wrong.

Nothing in depth here, just a little list of The One's first week accomplishments:

Signs order to close Gitmo Detainee camp within a year.

Puts an end to enhanced interrogation techniques, (waterboarding).

Appoints tax cheat/evader/liar as Secretary of Treasury.

Disses Bush on the official Whitehouse web site over Katrina.

Closes CIA black sites.

Pushing the Stimulus/Socializing of America bill using fear tactics.

Pushing Israel to open border with Gaza.

Ends federal ban on funding of groups who provide abortions overseas.

Press secretary can't even answer simple question concerning whether we are still having a "War on terror" or not.

Obama hit the ground running left as fast as he can get there. We have to keep our eye on him and his partners in socialising America Pelosi and Reid. Keep in constant touch with your congressman and senator and let them know you want them stopped before they can do to much damage. Let them know you will be watching and you will vote accordingly. The time is now to hold them accountable for their votes.

Listen to Robert Reich wanting to make sure that no white construction workers get any relief from the stimulus package. He wants infrastructure built quickly, he just wants to build it with long term unemployed people, women, and minorities. He wants to set up "criteria" to systematically discriminate against whites in the stimulus bill. I for one don't care what color the skin is of the person building the bridge I just want them to be qualified. I guess white people have to much already according to The One's financial advisers. Charlie Rangel even wants to bypass those pesky state legislatures and not let them have a say in how the money in their state is even spent.

[media:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opxuUj6vFa4&feature=channel_page]

It's only getting started gang. We have to keep an eye on these socialists and stop them from ruining our country. Share this with everyone you know. Keeping everybody informed is the only way we're going to be able to beat these guys.

Like The Obamessiah says "... everybody's got to have some skin in the game." For us that means everyone has to keep everyone they know educated on what's being done in Washington D.C..
