Health Care Bill Process Adds To Growing List Of Obama Lies

During a town hall meeting on Aug. 21, 2008, in Chester, Va. then candidate Obama states that:

“I’m going to have all the negotiations around a big table. We’ll have doctors and nurses and hospital administrators. Insurance companies, drug companies — they’ll get a seat at the table, they just won’t be able to buy every chair. But what we will do is, we’ll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies. And so, that approach, I think is what is going to allow people to stay involved in this process.”

During a debate in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, 2008 The One said

“That’s what I will do in bringing all parties together, not negotiating behind closed doors, but bringing all parties together, and broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN so that the American people can see what the choices are, because part of what we have to do is enlist the American people in this process,”

We have come to realize that those statements were lies. This health care reform bill the statists are ramming down our throats has been created by nothing but closed door meetings, hidden agendas, hidden bills, backroom deals, bribes, lobbyists, and a total lack of openness and transparency. If you believe that Fearless Leader cares about your health you are delusional. This is nothing but a power grab by our government to takeover nearly 20% of this nations economy… and control of your personal freedoms to boot.

Thanks to Politifact for the above quotes.

UPDATE: Thanks to Breitbart.tv for this montage of lies.

Healthcare Bill Shatters Obama’s No Tax Increase Pledge

The folks over at Americans For Tax Reform have compiled a list of just seven ways that the Senate health care reform bill Makes The One a liar. Click to view the report here.(or right click and save) Here’s a list:

Individual Mandate Tax
Employer Mandate Tax
Medicine Cabinet Tax
HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike
FSA Cap
Raise “Haircut” for Medical Itemized Deduction from 7.5% to 10% of AGI
Tax on Indoor Tanning Services

In a “read my lips” moment on the campaign trail The Obamessiah makes a firm promise that no one making under $250,000/yr would have any form of tax increase at all. Another promise with an expiration date from Obama.

UPDATE: Jan 6 2010 – Obama OKs taxing high-end health plans. The AP is reporting

“Obama expressed his preference for the insurance tax contained in the Senate’s health overhaul bill…”

Instead of taxing the “evil rich” the way Pelosi wants to The Obamessiah wants to tax “Cadillac plans”. So all you union folks and lots of us with employer based insurance plans prepare for your paycheck to be hopenchanged.

Obamacare… Sen. Reid Says Screw You and Steals Your Money to Buy Needed Votes

harry-reid-fingerSen. Ben Nelson held out not on principle but on greed. He got the democratic leader of the Senate to steal $45 million from taxpayers in 49 other states to cover a permanent exemption from the state share of Medicaid expansion for Nebraska.

Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu got a $300 million bump in medicaid funding for Louisiana. Pennsylvania, New York and Florida managed to screw the other 47 states Medicare Advantage recipients by getting special exceptions while the other 47 are getting cut.

Check out all the hope others are getting with your change here.

These people make me sick. In 2010 make them pay. Vote them out!

Obama Still Lying About Healthcare Reform Details

obama_contempt2

The One is still telling us that we’ll be able to keep our current doctor or insurance plan if we want to. That’s a lie. This article in the New York Post by Betsy Mccaughey gives a quick breakdown on how Obama is either lying to us or hasn’t bothered to read what’s in the bills (probably both). Not reading them would put him in the same league as our reps and senators though wouldn’t it? Here are a few choice pieces:

The bills now before Congress would force you to switch to a managed-care plan with limits on your access to specialists and tests.

Two main bills are being rushed through Congress with the goal of combining them into a finished product by August. Under either, a new government bureaucracy will select health plans that it considers in your best interest, and you will have to enroll in one of these “qualified plans.” If you now get your plan through work, your employer has a five-year “grace period” to switch you into a qualified plan. If you buy your own insurance, you’ll have less time.

And as soon as anything changes in your contract — such as a change in copays or deductibles, which many insurers change every year — you’ll have to move into a qualified plan instead (House bill, p. 16-17).

When you file your taxes, if you can’t prove to the IRS that you are in a qualified plan, you’ll be fined thousands of dollars — as much as the average cost of a health plan for your family size — and then automatically enrolled in a randomly selected plan (House bill, p. 167-168).

If you thought that was bad just wait until you become a senior citizen:

One troubling provision of the House bill compels seniors to submit to a counseling session every five years (and more often if they become sick or go into a nursing home) about alternatives for end-of-life care (House bill, p. 425-430). The sessions cover highly sensitive matters such as whether to receive antibiotics and “the use of artificially administered nutrition and hydration.”

This mandate invites abuse, and seniors could easily be pushed to refuse care. Do we really want government involved in such deeply personal issues?

READ THIS ARTICLE and after you do use the following sample letter to email your house rep and senator. Remember we can still stop this.

I wanted to let you know in no uncertain terms how much I want you to vote no on the healthcare take over bill now being looked at.  have every confidence that you will vote no and of that I am glad, but if you vote yes… myself and everyone I know will actively campaign to defeat you the next time you are up for reelection. No greater issue faces our country right now than putting a stop to this insanity so I will be expecting a vote of NO. Thanks and have a great day.

Obama Raising Medical Costs Not Lowering Them… Complicating Health Care Not Simplifying It

obama_angry The One needs to read what Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Elmendorf warned lawmakers about.

Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Elmendorf warned lawmakers the legislation that he has seen so far would raise costs, not lower them. Elmendorf was asked by Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad, D-N.S., if the bills Congress is considering would “bend the cost curve.” The budget director responded: “The curve is being raised.”

It won’t take long before the line from The One changes to “Health care reform wasn’t really intended to cut costs or simplify it was to… (insert bullsh?t here). Speaking of simplifying, check this chart out and tell me if you think this “plan” has any chance of actually streamlining anything.

Mind numbing isn’t it? Call or email your representative or senator now and tell them to VOTE NO! We can still stop this.
